Adrian and Lesley Doble of Partners in Pewter have established a reputation as leading makers of collectable bespoke repoussé pewter items in the UK. Their work is distinguished by the originality of the designs and the finish that they achieve. The Worshipful Company of Pewterers honoured them by including their work in the "Millennium Pewter Collection" in 2000, by adding their Mark to the official Touch-plate in 2003, and by admitting Adrian into the Company as a Freeman in 2006. They also feature at "Art in Action" in Oxfordshire where they demonstrate their craft in the Metalwork and Jewellery marquee. "Ours is a continuing search to interpret the intrinsic properties of the medium in new forms while keeping sight of the functional requirements of our customers."

In addition to designing and creating unique pieces for exhibitions, the husband and wife work in partnership with clients to make bespoke pewter articles for special occasions. In 2002 the Lord Mayor of London was ceremonially presented with a plate made by Partners in Pewter. In 2006 they made the Peter Pearson trophy for the Cacchetti School of Ballet Teachers in London. The exciting new range, based on a combination of the repoussé technique and casting, includes small sets of items made for corporate promotions and family collections.
